Growing up the corn was generally the tallest thing on the Iowan horizon. Today thousands (4700ish to be precise) of wind turbines dot the landscape. In fact Iowa currently ranks 2nd in the nation in terms of wind energy production. Iowa has long fed the nation, today it is among the leaders in lighting it as well.
