How could one possibly settle upon a single skit to highlight the comedic genius that was Johnny Carson? Forever to be the king of late night in my book, this native of southwest Iowa is the very definition of a talk show host. I love Conan and David as much as the next guy, and Fallon certainly has his moments but Carson will rule this space forever if you ask me.
In anticipation of another Iowan phenomenon, the migration of the wandering politicians, I have selected this skit to showcase a bit of Carson's talents.
