In a bad case of "where the heck have you been, oh thats right Seattle" I just discovered that Porky's on Douglas in Des Moines is long gone. While I have never been a huge fan of classic cars so could not truly appreciate its appeal I always loved Porky's atmosphere and tenderloins. Sad to see it fall by the wayside, never again will I giggle like a 10 year old boy who snuck out of bed to catch Beulah Balbricker, Meat, and Pee Wee on Cinemax while enjoying a loin and some fries. RIP Porky's.
