Carol Morris - Miss Universe

In 1956, according to the pagent gods, Iowan Carol Morris was essentially voted the best looking, most talented woman in the world.  To this day the only Iowan to have won the Miss Universe title, she certainly was a looker in a time when pagents may not have had the creepy taste they leave in my mouth today.

Jean Seberg - Simply Breathless

Some like myself leave Iowa when they are young and travel to France.  Some return and end up writing a blog about how great Iowa is.  Others star in one of the most iconic films of our time, have an affair with Clint Eastwood, and are pursued and slandered by the FBI. I of course am the former.  The latter, the gorgeous Jean Seberg, has to be one of the most beautiful things to ever come out of Marshalltown. 

Donna Reed

George Baily realized that life was much more wonderful in the presence of Donna Reed, in my humble opinion likely the most beautiful actress to come out of Iowa.

Cloris Leachman - With Pigs

Given Iowa's status as the pork capital of the world it is only fitting that Des Moines native Cloris Leachman would host the Muppet Show when pigs took over the show from Kermit and his friends.  More on Cloris later, especially since she is probably the only person that will make this list that has gone on a date with a close blood relative, my Grandpa Hyland.
