All men are manly men in Manly Iowa, a town in North Central Iowa. Talk about having civic expectations that some may struggle to live up to. I wonder if boys are given tool belts at the age of 5 and bull riding lessons before the onset of puberty?
I can just see a barbershop quartet comprised of flannel wearing bearded men setting up shop in town. It would not be an expensive venture as the building shown here is currently for sale for $5000. At such a price there should be plenty of money left over to put those tool belts to good use. Side note - looks like the bank robber Dillinger once stayed in this building, how's that for a manly man connection.
